Good news and bad news

Just as I had an XML feed working, I’ve broken it. But I broke it with a pretty cool project. I took some of the stuff I’ve used on reeksofhavoc and drive safer and made myself a pretty good collaborative publishing program.

You can find it at http://www.tinynewspaper.com,
and if you feel like signing up for a free account, it gives you your
own pretty nice looking webpage, and a page for inviting other people
to be writers. It’s modeled after a newspaper – each account has
an “editor in chief” who can approve stories and invite new writers,
and writers can submit their stories for publishing.

It’s cool and it’s free. But the best part is a really cool programming hack that makes thumbnails on the fly and then caches them so that the thumbnail only has to be made once. Seriously.
